My Experience

I have lived in the Atlanta metro area for over 20 years most of those years in the "up and coming" neighborhoods of the city.  Over the last 10 years, I have purchased several properties in various Atlanta "renaissance" neighborhoods like Home Park, SoNo, Old 4th Ward/Sweet Auburn, and the East Atlanta/East Lake area.  I learned the ins and outs of buying the right house with good bones in the right area of town, design, hands on renovation techniques like installing flooring, cabinets, fixtures, landscaping, painting, and other general handyman know-how, as well as preparing a home for sale to appeal to potential buyers.  My years of ever-growing knowledge of buying, renovating, and selling homes in these exciting rediscovered neighborhoods has served me well over the years, and as a result, Atlanta's in-town neighborhoods have been very good to me.

So how can my knowledge and experience work for you?  Not only have I purchased and renovated homes in Atlanta's in-town neighborhoods, but I have lived in the homes, allowing me to experience each of these neighborhoods as well.  Each of Atlanta's neighborhoods has a personality of its own from quiet and calm to active and vibrant.  It is important that your agent know who you are and understand your own personal needs to put you in the neighborhood that fits your lifestyle.

When looking to purchase a home, I can help you spot potential issues and benefits of a house that might not be immediately apparent.  Most homes are going to have some issues, and it is important to have an agent with you that helps navigate these obstacles to determine whether they are easily overcome, like painting over objectionable wall colors, or issues that should make you reconsider the purchase of a home like something structural.

For those looking to sell their home, the best presentation and marketing of your home is everything.  Your home is very special to you and holds memories that are near and dear to your heart.  You may tend to overlook quirks and idiosyncrasies of your home, however, potential buyers will not be so kind.  I will make sure to do a complete and comprehensive walk-through of your home with you so that we can address any possible objections that a potential buyer may have when your home is shown.  Your home should stand out for all the right reasons.

For both buyer and seller, contract negotiations on a home can be stressful.  I personally have bought and sold several houses of my own and know all too well how true this is.  The purchase and sale of your home is one of the most important transactions that will happen in your life, and emotions can certainly run high.  Having an agent by your side that can step back and analyze the situation can really help to bring both parties to a middle ground that is acceptable to all involved.
